Earth Day - April 22, 2007

Earth Day! Okay, global warming really is not the fantastic, paranoid unicorn of a story dreamt up by folks with nothing better to do (as some people thought). We at GladRags and most of our customers have been aware for some time, but 2006 made it a major story, which is essential if change is to happen. Let’s get on the ride together and see what we can do. Please check out these sites and learn more about what you can do. And, if you have any friends still throwing tampons and pads away, let them know they have options they can feel great about using, both for their bodies and the environment.

www.earthday.net/earthday2007.aspx - Find an Earth Day event in your area or register your own.

www.care2.com - Join a community of over 6 million learning more about the environment and what they can do.

www.thegreenguide.com - Check out their links, they have a ton of great green shopping resources.

Bring Your Own

Here’s another great site helping you learn more about reuse options. Dedicated to keeping items from ending up in landfills, Bring Your Own helps you decide between paper versus plastic and makes it hip to bring your own shiny metal “to go” container to your favorite restaurant.

And, they have a blog!
