Regarding Menstruation Talk: Ok, so, GladRags deals in feminine hygiene products that go "down there". From time to time, we like to use the word "menstruation" and we occasionally talk about 'ginas. Unfortunately, email spam filters aren't fond of 'gina talk. If you read euphemisms for this word in our newsletters, please don't think us shrinking violets - we don't want it to be a dirty word, but we also don't want you to miss out on our newsletters. It's just another sad social taboo that together we can work to change! Well, the wind's certainly been blowing those leaves off the trees, maybe there will be another wind of change blowing - of the menstrual sort Going with the flow,

From our pretty marbled patterns to camo (in pink and green) to two types of frog patterns, we've got something for every woman. These stylin' GladRags are available in Regular Cotton Day Pads. Maybe no one else sees your GladRags, but won't it be even more exciting for you to change your pad when you have some new colors to choose from?! |
The GladRags Naturopath It's nice to have a person around capable of dispensing knowledgeable advice when you're not feeling so hot or just to keep your health up. Well, now GladRags Gab, the GladRags blog, will host monthly appearances by Jennifer Purcell, a Portland-based board certified naturopathic physician and herbalist. We've long respected J.J. (as she's known around here) as the very competent owner of The Herb Shoppe. J.J. has guided us towards healing herbs on many occasions. The best part about her shop is the free Wednesday lecture series - informative talks on herbs, naturopathy and all manner of holistic healing. Dr. Purcell's 1st monthly blog topic: PMS We know that these 3 little letters provoke some strong feelings from women. Dr. Purcell will offer insight into what happens during those premenstrual days to help you better support your body. Her first offering of info is this Monday on GladRags Gab. What better way to show your seasonal spirit and affection for loved ones than with the gift of GladRags? Women love to receive gifts of items that they would never purchase for themselves. Diana, for example, loves the gift of a massage (though she's never received one, she's certain she LOVES this gift! - hint, hint…). You can use the holidays or the celebration of the fall of leaves and the covering of snow as a reason to dazzle your girlfriends and sisters with GladRags. She might politely thank you as she quickly covers up the pretty bowling pin patterned GladRags, but rest assured, every time she opens up her underwear drawer, she'll be thinking on that GladRag. Soon enough, she'll be buying you reusable menstrual gifts! Don't forget about those menstrual cups. A Moon Cup with a pink bubble GladRag Pantyliner is such a nice gift set. 'Tis the Season! Becca's the impetus for the menstruation talk and 'gina disclaimer. Becca doesn't shy away from 'gina talk. We wish others wouldn't either… She's been an alternatives user for 7 years! And she's in education. Slowly but surely, there's bound to be more menstrual reusable talk in our schools.
