Unless you've been living in a cave, you know that things are pretty wacky out there this year: between the economy, the war, and the presidential transition process, our heads are spinning. It's a good time to reflect upon how we spend money every holiday season. What do our purchases say about us? We here at the 'Rags like to think buying GladRags is a responsible choice any time of year. However, when fretting about what to get those special friends and family members, now is also a good time to think of others. With that in mind we're putting our Goods 4 Girls kits on special. If you haven't heard, Goods 4 Girls is an organization that works to bring sustainable menstrual alternatives to girls in Africa who, lacking adequate menstrual supplies, are prevented from attending school during their periods.

Check them out here! Here's how it works: you purchase one Regular Cotton Day Pad 3-Pack and GladRags donates a carry bag to round out the kit. This month the kit is just $29.99, 15% off the regular price. It's simple! Just purchase the kit on our website and we'll send it directly to Goods 4 Girls for you.

Sometimes at GladRags we like to feature our own friends in this part of the newsletter. This month we have highlighted a woman who is a little off the beaten path in her ideas about menstruation, and a very important person in my life. Our experiences exploring the world of menstrual alternatives were interconnected during the tender time of adolescence. Now that I work at GladRags, it seemed especially apropos for us to have this conversation as adults. Read my interview with Michele on our blog. –Tanya–
